Demand for novel approaches to the analysis of sports data has been on the rise over the last decade in professional, amateur and collegiate sports.  The Sports Analytics Laboratory (SAL) is meeting this demand through dedication to the advancement and development of innovative statistical methods applied to games and sports.  The lab functions as the hub of sports statistics scholarly research at Harvard University, and facilitates connections among Harvard researchers from various disciplines to foster original ways to approach problems in statistics in sports. The lab also seeks interesting sources of sports data, challenging quantitative problems in games and sports, and funded project support. Lab research is disseminated through peer-reviewed outlets, conference talks, and other forums appropriate for communicating research results.
